Rotational Classroom Model
How we Teach
Our innovative academic rotational model revolves around a system of small group instruction throughout the day.
What are rotations?
Students are strategically placed and rotate around the class.
Each center has a dedicated purpose, and each group is given a specific amount of time per center during rotational blocks.
Why rotate?
This unique rotational model allows our teachers to differentiate instruction, engage students through small-group learning, encourage collaboration, implement modifications, provide enrichment, and offer real-time targeted feedback. Our teachers are empowered to make conscious decisions about how to group students, and they may regroup their students throughout the day and year based on their development and mastery of a given subject.
What do students gain?
Our students are seen by their teachers. Rotations allow our teachers to give each child personal attention and individualized enrichment or remediation when necessary. Rotations also set the framework for regular independent work as well as collaborative activities. This foundation serves as a launching pad for acquiring new skills and strategies in the years to come.
